It is designed as a local destination and meeting point in the Norwegian landscape, no longer representing an edge condition on the waterfront but a central node for different transportation means.

The roundabout layout allows for clear traffic movement and user orientation, also avoiding the local road to become a dead end. The kiosk structure operates as a landmark that is fully visible from land and sea, performing as a reference point and identity-maker for the Holm area.
